"ENFIELD HOPE" - Uniting Enfield for All of Enfield
Greetings,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Enfield Town Commissioner in District B. Recently, my campaign received a boost when news circulated about "Redic" running for Town Commissioner in District B. However, an important part of my identity was omitted.
I am Reverend Michael A. Redic Sr., and I embrace this honorable title bestowed upon me by the Lord. This designation symbolizes a commitment to the well-being of all individuals, not a select few. Enfield's future deserves to be bright and prosperous, and I firmly believe that aligning with God's truth is the path to the genuine change that the remarkable people of Enfield both require and seek. The term "complacent" characterizes a state of surrender to circumstances, an acceptance that change is impossible.
But I advocate for change, and the trivialization of my message due to personal attacks should not deter the need for it. Complacency arises when the desire for change wanes simply because the messenger is targeted. This form of complacency only perpetuates stagnation. We, however, will not succumb. Enfield is not just for a select few; it transcends a mere playground for idealists. We've heard promises of improvement over the years, only to witness those with innovative ideas being marginalized.
We are a community aspiring for progress. We demand and deserve creative thinkers, united in envisioning a common destiny for our town and dedicated to its realization. A robust strategy for economic stability is essential, one that fosters city growth and prosperity. Our town warrants bold investors willing to take risks, freeing us from dependence on external assistance. Our grants and bond issues should be strategic investments in our town's future, not temporary fixes serving an exclusive minority.
Having been a part of this community since 1980, my connection is profound. My family is rooted in Enfield, generationally tied to its soil. My commitment rests solely in God's truth, not party affiliations. My candidacy for Enfield Town Commissioner was an independent choice, made without pre-existing conversations with other town officials. Embarking on this journey, I dedicate my efforts to the betterment of our town. Engaging in discussions and meetings with various stakeholders is vital to understanding the town's needs, and reflecting the best interests of Enfield.
In today's world, one's sense of power can be inflated, but I place my faith in the God of the Bible, who cares for all humanity. Enfield is not defined by political divisions or ethnic backgrounds, but by its people—individuals united in uplifting, supporting, and collectively prospering. Our unity is our strength, combining diverse talents, experiences, and sacrifices for a common goal.
Anticipate forthcoming town halls and events that will help address our town's needs. Remember, Enfield's destiny rests solely in the hands of its inhabitants. The Enfield spirit is our guiding light. By leaving the past behind, a brighter future emerges. To devour one another only leads to our mutual destruction. "ENFIELD HOPE" embodies the essence of listening to Enfield's voices, gathering insights that will shape us.
